Registration for HOT CHIPS 18 begins June 1, 2006.

Early registration ends on July 31, 2006. Register before this date and receive discounted early registration fees. See table below for detailed registration fee schedule.

Registration Fees

HOT CHIPS 18 conference consists of Tutorials on Sunday, August 20, 2006 followed by two days of Conference (paper presentations) on Monday and Tuesday, August 21-22, 2006.

Registration fees for Tutorials include tutorial notes, continental breakfast, lunch, coffee break, and invitation to the evening Wine and Cheese Reception on Sunday, August 20, 2006.

Registration fees for the Conference include conference proceedings, Monday night dinner, continental breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks during the two days (August 21-22, 2006) of the conference. It also includes an invitation to the evening Wine and Cheese Reception on Sunday, August 20, 2006.

General Registration Policy

Form of Payment

  • Registration may be charged using a Visa™, MasterCard™, Discover™ or American Express™ card. All credit card payments require the complete credit card number, expiration date, name as it appears on the card, and complete billing address
  • Credit card is the only form of payment for HOT CHIPS 18
  • If this payment restriction is an impediment for you to attend HOT CHIPS, please send us an email at registration2006@hotchips.org and we will consider other payment options (Personal/Company Check) strictly on case-by-case basis

Early Registration

  • July 31, 2006 is the DEADLINE to qualify for the early registration rate. Payment transactions must be completed on or before July 31, 2006 to take advantage of this discounted rate.
  • HOT CHIPS will continue to accept online registrations until August 20, 2006, at the Late/Onsite registration rate. After August 20, 2006, all registrations must be done on-site at the conference.

ACM/IEEE Membership

  • Membership number must be included at time of submission to receive the membership rate. No refunds will be made for change in membership status
  • If you would like information on becoming an ACM or IEEE member, visit ACM or IEEE homepage
  • No company memberships accepted; individual memberships only
  • Please be prepared to provide proof of your valid IEEE/ACM membership when you pick up your badges and conference proceedings and/or tutorial notes at the conference

Student Registration

  • If you are registering as a student, please be prepared to provide a valid student photo ID when you pick up your badge and conference proceedings and/or tutorial notes at the conference

Refund/Cancellation

Email requests for cancellations must be received by HOT CHIPS on or before August 6, 2006, and are subject to a $25 processing fee. Cancellations are only possible by emailing us a cancellation request at registration2006@hotchips.org.

Cancellations received after August 6, 2006, will NOT be honored and all registration fees will be forfeited.

The refund amount will be credit back to your credit card account. Please make sure that we have your correct contact information when you register with us through our online registration form.

Press Registration

Qualified members of the press and media analysts receive full conference registration at no charge including access to all technical sessions during the conference, tutorials, and the Wine and Cheese Reception on Sunday, August 20, 2006.

We also provide you access to the Speakers immediately after their presentation in the Press Room.

Press/Media Analyst registrants must enter the promotion code while registering online in order to get the Press/Media Analyst registration discount. Failing to provide the promotion code will result in full conference fees.

Be prepared to show your official identification card when picking up your badge and Press Kit (if you have not received one already) onsite at the conference.

Student Registration

A special student rate applies to individuals who are currently enrolled in school. Students must provide a valid student ID. Register online and be prepared to provide a valid student photo ID when you pick up your badge and conference proceedings and/or tutorial notes at the conference.
